It's been a GREAT day!

The day for ME started with a nice cup of coffee, a bowl of cheerios with sliced banana, and then down to the nail lady for a KILLER pedicure (Look at my cute pink toes...oh boy).  I made a trip to Target for some last minute baby things (and gel pens..LOL!), and when I got home?...... It  was a GOOD MAIL DAY!

The envelopes are super pretty!  And the letters were wonderful to read.  I even got 2 postcrossing

PCs- one from The Netherlands and one from Malaysia (great stamps).

KSP spoiled me rotten..................LOVE HER!

Cute kid books for my little ones, a F---in' hilarious night time book for the Baby coming (Yes- the author of this book drops the 'F' bomb a few times..LOL!), cute typed notes, and on and on and on. I even got some chocolate chip cookie mix (will be making those tonight...yum).

Outgoing Mail.

Making envelopes is so flippin' FUN!  In the "Here comes Spring" envie, I added 2 more little decorated envelopes to go along with the letter..... I used the same children's book for all three.  AND... I've been practicing on my typewriter (I really stink).  So for those of you who get a typed letter from me- SORRY ABOUT ALL OF THOSE TYPOS.

Hello Kitty ROCKS!

I'm not REALLY into "cute" all that much, but I LOVE HELLO KITTY!  The reason is, she was my first inspiration to start writing letters. I grew up in the 70's and pen palling was a big thing (Hell....no computers or cell phones back then).  Plus my Grandmother was (and still is) a HUGE letter sender, so she was always keeping me supplied with stationary and stamps. Hello Kitty products back in those days was all about stationary etc.  I couldn't get enough. 

 Today you can find Miss Kitty just about everywhere.  I love the little mini postcard packs that you can collect.  The books I found at the thrift store for my daughter (we share them...LOL). 

This is all that is left of my childhood collection (from 1976). Thanks HELLO KITTY- for fueling my passion.

Found these cool Stampers Cards at my local Value Village.

all of these cards have usable stamps under plastic on them. Issue date is 1996. My favorite is the Woolly mammoth.

 I plan to stick these little treasures on some letters someday soon.

Made some MAIL today.  A fun map envelope out to Pamela and an old Dodge Camper ad envie for my Dad...(He is a DODGE man and we're all about GM in my house....*fight*).

OK.... It was my fault the 1st time.  How dare I try to challenge the USPS on their letter size requirements..... I was curious if it could work.  It came back to me-----> RETURN TO SENDER!  BUT...good news, the stamps were unmarked (thank goodness.... 65 cents saved).

I add some "envelope" to my too small envelope and put it back in the mail box (I'll explain below with the next pic).  DAYS later it's back in my hands again.  The stamps are USED.... it appears that I had the correct postage on it, they just sent it to MY address instead of the intended one that was clearly written on the front of the envelope...NEXT TO THE DAMN STAMPS!  This is the 3rd time that this has happened to me since I moved to little ol' Graham, Washington.

Fun idea?  Makes for curious looking envies when you use magazine pages or books etc.

Try it!......write two letters, make two envelopes, and then tape them together...VOILA!

My kids are busy with Daddy and I'm playing with Blogger.  I think I'm getting the hang of this.  Today's mission was to post old photos and insert links.  It worked (I..hope)!!  

      

It's been a YEAR!

Well, it's been about a year since I started sending GOOD MAIL.  I even explored making ATCs....FUN!

 And just so you all know......I LOVE ME SOME STARBUCKS!  Oh yes I do.  I made lots of mail art with a coffee theme (and I'm sure to continue now and again).

 Played around with the Teesha Moore style (she ROCKS).  This envie sent to one of my favorites....cappuccinoandartjournal.blog.

 Yup...more coffee.  Plus, I love to re-purpose stuff.  RECYCLE! RECYCLE!

 This envelope was sent out to a swap partner.  I wrote Shel Silverstein's poem, INVITATION around the edge.

I love these vintage inspired Valentine's by www.LAUGHINGELEPHANT.com.  I had to fight my daughter for the kitty one (she may win).

These sweet little cards will be in the mail to YOU!  I decided to make my own envelopes for them.  I was lucky to get a sheet of LOVE stamps today at the post office- their last sheet.  I LOVE instant gratification (hee hee).
